I have been a client of Evelyn Lundstrom's for 22 years. She advises me as well as assists me with shopping for professional business attire and formal wear as well as casual wear. She advises on colour, grooming and hair styling. Evelyn is very talented at creating an image that is appropriate for all situations and she has contributed to my career success and confidence. Evelyn has an amazing eye for colour and style. Our shopping trips are really fun and Evelyn is incredibly fast at surveying each store. Our shopping expeditions are never a drawn-out affair, she is incredibly time efficient, so her service is also good value for money. I always trust Evelyn's taste and receive so many compliments when I follow her advice. Evelyn is very caring and takes such an interest in me. Over the years she has helped me with style and colour as well as hair, makeup and accessories. Evelyn is outstanding and is the best in her field. She gives wonderful advice, works to my budget and she is fast! We can work through all the shops in the city centre in 2 hours. Whatever I purchase or do that Evelyn recommends, I always receive many compliments. She is very talented and has an amazing eye for what suits you and what little extras can make a difference. Evelyn came over and spent a full day going through my wardrobe. It was a fabulous day, Evelyn is cheerful, full of energy and good ideas and very accustomed to tackling people's appearance anxieties. At the end of it I had a curated wardrobe, with a huge pile to go to Vinnies. I understood exactly what colors I needed to wear, which of my clothes flattered me most and I had a small shopping list to fill gaps. Evelyn followed up with handy tips and encouraged me to restyle my hair. The result - I have received many compliments! (I am also shopping much less as Evelyn's thoughtful appraisal has helped me develop a much more disciplined approach to what I should buy. So it was value for money in multiple ways.)

A new client can expect total confidentiality, respect and their outcomes met. To do this, our initial meeting is relaxed in an informal environment - the intention is to flesh out a brief that meets all their expectations and needs. From there we devise a plan of action that addresses all areas that need attention.

I am not a university grad - but a well read and practiced image management consultant with 27 years of experience in this field. My background is in IT initially as a Systems Analyst & Programmer for 4 years. My creative side wanted something more - and it was then, I decided to conduct my own business and studied under many schools to open my first business specialising in Skincare and Beauty Therapy. I sold this business to open another - this time a retail store selling high-end recycled fashion in Sydney's Double Bay. After a few years - again I sold this business to open First Impressions Image Consultancy 27 years ago. I am a Certified Image Professional with the AICI - our association representing image consultants worldwide. I am also a qualified NLP Master Practitioner and Timeline Therapist.

As discussed about - my background in each of my roles prior to becoming a qualified image management consultant gave me a great understanding of what makes people do what they do when they don't do it well - visually speaking. Of course there were important courses I attended, books I studied plus experiencial learning along the way. But it was my innate ability to see beyond the exterior of how my clients dressed to uncover who they really were to enable them to express that to the world.

I've worked with both men and women across varied roles and industries including: professional services firms, manufacturing, IT, banking and accounting firms - and of course with entrepreneurs and solopreneurs.

I recently had the privilege to work with a group of people who were regularly called upon by their organisations to present to their peers and clients. Although they knew their topic well, they were not so accomplished at addressing questions from the floor. I presented the acclaimed Think On Your Feet program (r) - a registered training program out of Canada - that gives people the strategies to answer with confidence any questions they are asked by using mini-structures to 'hook' the content on - so that they keep to the question, and answer concisely and clearly. I love delivering this program because those who attend really 'get' the structures and gain the confidence they need to master the Q/A sessions at the end of their presentations.

Ensure you feel they understand you and you feel comfortable with them and very importantly, see how they present themselves because you will be relying on them to assist you in presenting yourself well too.
