FAQs
I have a number of different pricing options that are detailed on my website; http://*information hidden*/pricing.html
When I start with a new client I ask them a lot of questions to get a clear understanding of their goals and abilities. I often have them fill out a questionnaire that helps me to understand their learning style and how I can best help them. Once I have figured out what kind of assistance they need we book tutoring sessions based on that need.
I have both a bachelor of science and a bachelor of education. I majored in physical science (chemistry and physics) and minored in math for my science degree. In my education degree I specialized in secondary education. My teaching certification cover Alberta, Canada, Victoria, Australia and Queensland, Australia.
I started tutoring on accident really. As a adolescent I was often paired with students who struggled with math so that I could help them when they were confused. As a grew up and realized my passion for teaching and education I continued to work with students as both a tutor and a teacher.
I have worked with clients who ranged in age from 8 years old to mature adult students who were retiring to school.
Working as a math tutor my "projects" are often never finished. I recently worked with a student who was going back to school in his 30's to become a mechanic. I worked with him through 2 years of his mechanics program at then end of which he was near the top of his class in math.
Finding a pro tutor can be challenging as there are a lot of people out there who are able to complete the work but they are not proficient at explaining it in a way that their client understands. I believe that you have to discuss with your tutor your goals and how you want to achieve them and make sure that the tutor is up to the task.
What is your goal?
How long do you want it to take?
How much time and effort am I willing to dedicate to this?
