With many years experience in teaching from youngsters to the young-at-heart… Louise received her qualification through the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, studying under the highly acclaimed voice teachers Irene Bartlett and Adele Nisbet.
Working from her own professionally designed studio in Aspley, Louise strongly encourages her students to sing the songs they love to sing. With the use of healthy technique and positive reinforcement, Louise can help YOU discover how to get the best out of your voice.
As a current member of the “Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing”, Louise is dedicated to providing the highest standards in the art of both singing and the teaching of singing.

S.H.A.K.E. Dance School is a community-focused dance studio based in Spring Hill offering a variety of styles to all ages - from 3 years to adults. As well as learning technique and style, we help our students build confidence, practice commitment and make friends with classmates in a positive, upbeat environment. We offer exam classes following the ComDance syllabus in Classical, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, Theatrical and Tap, plus open jazz, hip hop, contemporary and acrobatics. Our performance groups work towards extra performances at local eisteddfods and our end of year concert is a sparkling extravaganza to showcase our students’ (and teachers’) hard work for family and friends. Our afternoon classes run from Tuesday to Friday, with free school pickup from Brisbane Central State School, and we continue all day Saturday - we’re sure you’ll find a class you’ll love!
Principal Nikki McIntyre started S.H.A.K.E. in 1998 and since then has had students go on to further their dance studies at ED5, Queensland Ballet, QUT, Kelvin Grove School of Excellence, QUT, Raw and Dynamite - many of whom have stayed to teach! Naomi Hodges

Naomi is a contemporary vocal teacher with a strong foundation in vocal anatomy and physiology informed by current voice science. She is committed to staying up to date with current research to best help nurture her student’s vocal development at any age. As a graduate of The Queensland Conservatorium, Naomi holds a Bachelor of Popular Music (1st Class Honours) and a Graduate Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. Naomi has a prolific performance background as a part of Brisbane’s indie/pop duo, Phon , Formally known as folk duo Phoncurves, she has supported Australian artists such as Josh Pyke, Vance Joy, Art of Sleeping, The Paper Kites, Thelma Plum and international artists BellX1 (Ireland) and Passenger (UK).
As a vocal teacher Naomi is experienced in contemporary community choirs, small contemporary vocal groups and one on one tuition that ranges from early childhood to adulthood.
