Jack tuned my Lippman Upright piano yesterday. It is quite old, was stored in a garage for a few years and was consequently much out of tune. It was over 50% below concert pitch.
He tuned it to 30% below concert pitch to not damage the fragile pins. It sounds amazing now! He will tune it to concert pitch during the next tuning if the strings and pins are strong enough.
He also repaired a few loose hammers and tightened the damping system a bit.
It took him a little more than 2.5 hours and I paid 180 AUD.
Having him over at my place was not uncomfortable as he is a really friendly guy and he worked efficiently and independently.
