If your a seasoned musician, learning to play in a band, or eager to learn music for the very first time, one on one music lessons is the best approach to developing your skills. In particular for those over the age of 50, learning music helps to maintain brain health. Whilst playing music assists emotional and physiological wellbeing overall, it also is beneficial for young people enhancing visual and motor skills essential for a child’s development.
Believe in Music offers personalised lessons in piano, guitar, vocals, bass guitar, cello, oboe, theory, composition, songwriting and production delivered by friendly, tertiary qualified teachers who are actively working professional musicians. We believe anyone can be equipped with the skills to reach their musical dreams, and enjoy teaching a wide range of students from beginners to advanced and from young to mature aged.
We believe strongly in custom-tailored lessons for every student. If there is music you would really love to play, let us know so that we can tailor your lessons to incorporate it - even if there isn’t existing sheet music for it. For those interested in exams, we will also work together to determine the right level for you or your child and set you up for success - our teachers are all high achievers in AMEB exams.
We are conveniently located in Armadale near Malvern Central shopping centre, but are also willing to travel or teach remotely for maximum flexibility. We are also happy to be flexible regarding schedule.
We offer a 10% discount for students and pre-paid bundles of 4 lessons. We also offer a free 30-minute trial lesson for you to get to know us before you commit.

My name is Ben and I'm a private music teacher with over 10 years experience not just in teaching but also in performing, writing and recording music.
I studied an Advanced Diploma in contemporary music at WAAPA and have a passion for getting the best results possible out of my students. I can also teach theory and basic piano as well as music production and song writing.
Lessons are private (1 on 1) conducted in my home studio in Fremantle but I can also come to you for a small travel fee of ten dollars.
~ Group lessons can be discussed! ~
I also have instruments available for the student to use during our lesson for your convenience - this can be great for parents who want to make sure their child is keen to stick with it before committing to buying their own.
I currently have a roster of around 22 students ranging in age from 5 to 70 years old. This includes students at Bold Park Community School and Mega Music in Myaree,
